The NSX was also one of the first to utilize VTEC (variable valve timing and lift electronic control. F1 legend Ayrton Senna helped dial in the suspension and geometry of the NSX. The designer of the McLaren F1, Gordon Murray, loved the NSX so much he bought one, putting 75,000 kilometers on his over the course of six or seven years and using the car as inspiration for the McLaren F1.
